We’re incredibly fortunate to enjoy ample outdoor space here in Clifton Hill. Our outdoor area is thoughtfully designed to foster child-led exploration, integrating elements of lush vegetation, composting, and natural corners.
This environment encourages exploration through various senses, from the tactile experience of sand and water to the rich sensations of changing seasons. Children are invited to engage in physical challenges like climbing, jumping, and running amidst the natural beauty of our vegetation-rich landscape. Additionally, our incorporation of composting areas and natural corners adds depth to the learning experience, fostering a deeper connection with the environment.
At Kids on Queens Parade, we follow the advice and guidelines of SunSmart to keep your children safe while playing in our outdoor space.
All children must wear hats, sunscreen and weather-appropriate clothing to be able to play in the sun. We use the SunSmart UV Index below to determine when it is safe for the children to be outdoors.
Children as young as our toddler room are encouraged to apply their own sunscreen. We teach the children why we must be sun smart, especially in Australia, and the ways they can still safely enjoy their outdoor play.
